About the event

This is my story - I am a number in this report. However, in all matters of equality and diversity I am a number and so are you.

The report that I have compiled follows my journey and that of peers - from 2002 to the present. I sought to find out whether the statistics that you hear about women in the top were true of my intake at a leading City firm. I joined at a time when female representation at senior levels was a point of discussion. I found that 20 years on, whilst there had been some improvement, there is still inequality at leadership levels. I sought to find out why.

To find out what I discovered and what you can do to make a difference, join me.

Herbert Smith Freehills alumnus Claire Rason and founder of Client Talk has been working on this less-than-typical diversity experiment. She set out to find out whether, if she hadn't quit the law in 2005, she would have made partner. The results were surprising and shed new insights into why women might not be making it to the top of the profession.

If you haven't downloaded the report yet then we recommend doing this (and having a good read through) ahead of the event - although it's not mandatory! The report can be download at:
